Week 72

Start weight:  243

Current weight:  149

Definitely a size 8.  I’m at that plateau again where I’m fluctuating 3-4lbs but the doctor has me down as 149 so I’m going with that!

Ive decided I’m wearing the cute dresses I’m buying because…why else buy them?  I’m not working nor do mike and I go out much, but they’re not clubby dresses (well one is) so I’m wearing them.  The clubby one I can wear to my neighbors when we drink.  She and I like to dress up and show cleavage so why not, right?

Been getting a lot of compliments, but not about my figure.  A lot of my friends have been telling me I motivate them to Workout and get healthy.  That’s probably even better than an idle compliment on my no-so-sizable brown butt.  It’s really encouraging for me to be an example, a good example at that.  My neighbors work out with me, the hot neighbor told me I motivate him, too. Honestly…I just don’t want to go back to the +100 pound me again.  Why squander what is essentially a gift?  I’m healthy, I can play with my kids, my husband loves me regardless, but seriously he is so dirty now and I’m comfortable with my body to appreciate that dirtiness hehe.  I’m almost 40 and could not be happier or healthier.

It was a long journey, and it’s not over yet, but at least I look good walking the path with my family instead of hitching a ride because I’m too heavy to enjoy it.  😀

Week 72

Start weight:  243

Current weight:  151 (-92lbs)

Jean size:  8

Top size:  medium/large

So FINALLY able to start running again!  Took me 7 months to get used to this altitude but I was able to run straight for 1 mile and did it in 13 mins.  I was running about 2 miles in 20 mins, but it’s a process!!  Didn’t feel like my lungs were going to explode, either.

elliptical for 30 mins

Running – 1.5 miles in 20 mins

Walk @3.7 with 3.5 incline for 10 mins

No marathons yet, and I’m. Of sure that really a goal, but I’m just glad I can run again.  I really missed it.

Week 69

Start weight:  242

Current weight:  150 +/-

Wore my tankini out to the pool today.  Short shorts and everything.  Taking off my shorts was like wearing my underwear in public, but after a while I was like, ‘Fuck it!’  Had a crazy work out with my neighbors – I should probably explain that, huh?

We live in Colorado Springs, CO now.  We moved over here right before Christmas after Mike got back from Korea for good.  We found a place near our friends Preston and Dorissa from Alaska and bought a house!

Our new house, our neighbors, Mike and I, and my best girls.  Mari, Shanna, and I have all started going to the rec center here in the neighborhood together and enjoying the pool after our hard efforts.  We love our new life here in Falcon and have fun weekends hanging with friends and doing family things all over the area.

I share meals with either Catherine or Mike, still work out 4-5 times a week, and wear short shorts around the house.  A couple times I’ve gone out in public with them and I say why the hell not?!  We’ve been in our house since Jan 27th, and since it’s a new development, get new neighbors almost every month.  The kids are happy, Mike loves (his words) Colorado, and I could not be happier. =)

Week 68…still

Start weight:  242

Currently weight:  149

I KNOW, RIGHT???  I love getting on the scale and seeing a smaller number every single time.  I swear I never thought I’d break 150, but now I can actually see -100lbs so clearly.  I mean seriously, it’s within reach!!!  7 pounds.  That’s it, 7 pounds.  I AM FREAKING OUT!!!

I showed Mike my comparison picture from the post before.  I asked him if he remembered me that way and he just looked at it and was like, ‘Actually…no.’  I don’t remember being that big or looking so unhealthy and old.  I look so old, geez.

Week 68

Start weight:  243

Goal weight:  143 (-100lbs)

Currently weight:  151 (-92lbs)

Jean size:  Before – 18-20  Currently – 8 (Gap jean, yo!)

Top:  Before – 3x  Current – M to L depending on the boobage

Breast size:  Before almost 40-42DD  Current 36DD

So yeah, got on the scale this morning and managed to lose 2lbs over the weekend.  It’s gotta be the water pill they put me on for my blood pressure, which is high, for some inexplicable reason.  Lose almost 100 pounds and of course my blood pressure is out of control.  (rolls eyes)

Been working out at least 4x a week, doing a full hour of cardio.  Need to start incorporating weights again, but at this point I still can’t run because of this crazy high altitude.  7k+ feet does a job on your lungs, even after doing a solid hour of cardio 4-5 times a week, yo!  I can really see a difference around my mid section now – where it looked like it was really wanting to sag, it’s now starting to smooth out so that tummy tuck goal at 100 doesn’t seem so important anymore.  Thank god brown don’t crack!  A breast reduction – definitely would take that.

Just celebrated my 19th wedding anniversary with Mike.  Since I’ve been losing weight, he’s dropped about 25lbs himself.  He was an XL but now he’s down to a L.  Jeans he was 36/30 but now 34/30 and it’s a little baggy on him still.  Pretty cool to be watching our eating and having workouts in common.  Definitely is very encouraging plus he looks smexier now too =D  Been working out with my neighbor Mari and it’s kind of neat to look at her, she’s a size 4-6, and know that I’m only about 10-15lbs heavier than she is.  O_O  She had a size 8 tankini she made me try on and surprisingly it fit nicely.  My boobs were out of control in them, but she said that was the point.  Tried more tops at Old Navy this weekend – think I’m comfortable with an L-XL to accommodate them.  It’s just too out of control otherwise lol.

Other than that, feeling extremely good!  Working with my Internal Med doc on my diabetes, but it’s a process.  My blood pressure is starting to come down a little with the addition of the water pill, so I’m relieved.  The kids are healthy and life is good.
